Qualification of Applicants:

 

 Plan A (2(2.1)):Research and coursework requirements, a total of 66 credits

Applicants must hold a Master’s Degree in any fieldfrom an accredited academic institution.
 

  Plan B (2(2.2)): Researchand coursework requirements, a total of 90 credits

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalentfrom an institution accredited by the following:  the Commission on Higher Education, theOffice of the Civil Service Commission or the standard organizations is requireor by approval of the Council of the institute and obtain the GPA not less than3.25 or with outstanding records by approval of the Program Committees.
 

 Plan C (1(1.1)): Researchonly, a total of 48 credits

Applicants must hold a Master’s Degree in any fieldfrom an accredited academic institution. Considerations will be made upon theapplicants’ scholastic records, experiences, and dissertation proposals.

 

For applicants who graduate from the non-ThaiInstitute, they may contact directly to the Bureau of Standards and Evaluationat the Commission on Higher Education, Ministry of Education Tel: (66) 0 2354 5500-19 ext. 725, 727 or 728for an accredited letter of the institute.

A TOEFL score of at least 550* or an IELTS score of at least 6.0 or as specified by the doctoral Executive Committee, except for applicants who either come from English speaking nations or who graduated from undergraduate or graduate program which used English as the medium of instruction.

    *  Internet-based test = 79

Required Documents:

1.  Officialtranscript(s) of all degree(s)

2. A statement of purpose no longer than two A4 pages

3. Official TOEFL or IELTS test scores* (TOEFL or IELTS scoretaken for not more than two years)

(The minimum TOEFL score is 550 for the paper-and-penciltest or 213 for  the computerbased test. For the IELTS, the minimum score is 6.0 points.)

4. Three letters of recommendation in sealed envelopes [Download]  the form here

5.  Copyof personal identity card (if applicable)

6.  Copy of passport (non-Thaiapplicants)

7. Evidence of any change of name (if applicable)

8. Two 1-inch photos taken no more than sixmonths prior to application date

9.  Completed applicationform with application fee 1,000 THB

English Proficiency:

a. If you got your Master’s not more than five years from university that teaches in English, the English requirement can be waived.

b. You can take TOEFL/ITP (a type of TOEFL) which NIDA also accepts it as standard test.

as they organize the test every month under supervision of IIE. The score of 550 or better is expected. However, if the score is not fully satisfied, a course or two of English here at NIDA will be required on your first semester.
